Casa de Eulalia is a former cattle-farming estate dating back to the 17th-century which now thrives under the hand of winemaker Francisco, who trained under Portugal’s famed Anselmo Mendes.

Plainas is their line of wines named for the largest of their plots surrounding the village of Atei, facing south above the Tâmega River which pulls in Atlantic breezes imparting salinity and freshness.

The result is a classic Vinho Verde—light and vibrant, with crisp notes of tart apple and citrus that dance cleanly across the palate.

The grapes of this wine come from 'Plainas', a farm that was given as a heirloom gift to the wine producer in 1962 by his father, winemaker Joaquim Pereia e Cunha.

Through the combination of Azal and Arinto castes, the wine acquires a citrus color, fruitiness, and fresh acidity. It's a lively, well balanced wine, particularly recommended to accompany fish and seafood or as an aperitif.
