Brother winemakers, Jorge & Pedro Barroso, and their three cousins, began turning unfertile land in 2013 in to vineyards, and have certainly created something special out of nothing.
Casa do Barroso's Alvarinho Reserva 2024 represents the pinnacle of Vinho Verde white wine production. This 2024 vintage showcases Alvarinho's inherent nobility through extended aging and careful vinification, elevating the varietal beyond its typically youthful expression.
The wine reveals concentrated stone fruit, citrus blossom, and saline minerality that enhances rather than dominates the palate.
