This wine is a traditional blend found in the sub-region of Basto. Aritno is a grape from Lisbon that keeps its acidity in hot climates & Azal is indigenous to Basto but used to be the primary grape of the Vinho Verde

The grapes of this wine come from 'Plainas', a farm that was given as a heirloom gift to the wine producer in 1962 by his father, winemaker Joaquim Pereia e Cunha.

The family's passion for their vineyards and wine stems from this history and long tradition in winemaking.

Through the combination of Azal and Arinto castes, the wine acquires a citrus color, fruitiness, and fresh acidity. It's a lively, well balanced wine, particularly recommended to accompany fish and seafood or as an aperitif.
